Something special is coming to the heart of our community in February 2026. After years of planning, dreaming, and perfecting our vision, we’re incredibly excited to finally open the doors to The Podgy Spaniel, a family-run restaurant built on passion, flavour, and genuine hospitality.
From the moment we first imagined The Podgy Spaniel, we knew we wanted to create something more than just another place to eat. We wanted to build a restaurant that feels like home - warm, comforting, welcoming, and full of character. A place where families gather, friends celebrate, and good food brings everyone together.
Our grand opening marks the start of a new chapter for us, and we couldn’t be happier to share it with you.
When you visit, you’ll find a dining experience shaped by our love for simplicity, quality, and honest cooking. No unnecessary fuss. No overcomplicated dishes. Just great ingredients, cooked properly, and served with pride.
What to Expect on Opening Week
During our opening week in February, we’ll be showcasing the very best of what we do. Expect a menu that balances comfort and quality, with an emphasis on premium steaks, fresh local fish, and beautifully prepared sides. Everything is crafted using ingredients from trusted suppliers with whom we’ve built genuine relationships.
We’ve spent months perfecting our signature dishes, from perfectly seared fillets and aged ribeyes to fresh sea bass, grilled salmon, and seasonal specials that reflect the region we love so much. Alongside these, you’ll find classic starters, indulgent desserts, and a drinks list designed to complement every plate.
A Space Built With Heart
While the food is at the centre of what we do, the space itself was just as important to us. The Podgy Spaniel has been designed to feel warm and inviting, with a cosy atmosphere that suits everything from date nights and Sunday gatherings to celebrations and casual dinners.
Every detail - from the lighting and layout to the artwork and hand-finished touches - reflects who we are and what we value.
